Let's stop the sarcasm.

We live in a culture that demands we speak sarcastically in order to seem intelligent. Irony has become an entire language we speak with ease. It’s something that seems it has to be done before we can utter something deep or profound. Or maybe it’s just humor. Ever thought that trying to be “funny” at the expense of another person’s feelings is wrong? Can I say, sarcasm isn’t innocent? It’s insincere. It causes division. It is dangerous. Ask yourself…would God be more glorified by your silence rather than your humor? Are your words speaking life or death over the hearer? In light of eternity, choosing to encourage and uplift is far more valuable than puffing up an ego or having a few seconds of belly laughs. Just an unsarcastically thought…
